A lively piano duet
The Danza Giocoso Late Intermediate piano duet begins with a cantabile opening in 3/4 time, serving as an introduction to a lively dance in 6/8, marked Allegro giocoso. The introduction to this duet is filled with lush harmonies and lyrical melodic lines, while the dance is an excellent study in articulation and scale-like passages. The duet builds to an exciting and dramatic conclusion that will appeal to both audiences and performers. The secondo and primo parts are equal in difficulty and share melodic ideas.
