Release Date:10/29/2013;Notes:Vinyl LP. Once pure 'n' simple punk, the Texas-based Indie rock quartet's newly-engineered sound is full of experimental and psychedelic hints. Part of this has to do with the addition of guitarist Austin Jenkins, whose bluesy, country quality lends a certain earthiness to these songs that's reminiscent of The Allman Brothers. And then there's lead singer James Petralli's tendency for equal parts blues and folk troubadour. Producers Jim Vollentine (Spoon, White Rabbits) and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy helped with production, and their tracks are distinctly different: Vollentine's are more aggressive, riff-raff-y Tweedy's are more soft, summery. Altogether, White Denim seems committed to complicating that southern sound. Good.;Track List:1. At Night in Dreams;2. Corsicana Lemonade;3. Limited By Stature;4. New Blue Feeling;5. Come Back;6.
