Secure, durable and flexible.

The 4466 CORE Omnidirectional Headset Microphone combines DPA's renowned 5 mm capsules with CORE by DPA technology and the Red Dot award-winning headset. This omni mic offers users a clean and transparent sound quality with lots of headroom for lasting comfort. The microphone's sensitivity is 6 mV/Pa to match the level of the human voice with the general input sensitivity of most wireless transmitters. When powered correctly, the microphone will be able to handle very high sound pressure levels up to 134 dB SPL so users can both speak and sing into the mic with no hint of distortion. The max SPL handling is an impressive 144 dB.

Technically advanced construction
4466 CORE's one-size-fits-all design is the most advanced construction on the market to ensure lasting comfort, even during longer production sessions. Its grippy form gently and snuggly fits around your head and is adjustable with the spring mechanisms. This headset easily customizes to suit individual performers, making it a versatile option for users.

Adjust to your comfort
The frame is crafted from stainless steel with a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating that makes it highly secure and durable. It can tolerate high temperatures and is resilient against impact and abrasion. The microphone has a pleasant matte look due to the coating, making the entire headset look small and less obtrusive than other headset solutions. Furthermore, it adds nothing to the size of the microphone, as the PVD is extremely durable but at the same time extremely thin.

2-way boom adjust
The boom can easily be adjusted so that it sits perfectly near performers mouths, and can be extended and shortened while also pivoting up and down at a fixed point below the ear (no more bending the boom). An anti-rotating mechanism designed into the boom shape, prevents it from rotating. A sliding lock system ensures the boom is locked into the desired position. The boom portion can be detached at a point below the ear and moved from the right to left side of the frame.

For your convenience, a service connector at the end of the boom pole so that the boom and cable can be replaced independently if needed. The service connector is well-protected by a plastic cover that slides over the gold-plated connectors.

3-point grips for ears
The ear grips on our new headset relies on a 3-point gripping system to add a supportive area behind the ear, pressing gently inward. This not only makes the headset sit more securely, but it also makes them extremely comfortable to wear even over long periods.

90° cable management
The headset has its cable guide directly at the back of the headset frame so you can easily organize the cables to run unobtrusively down the back of performers. The special construction also separates the cables from the boom movement, which ensures cables are not pulled on when the boom is moved. The cable is built to be extremely rugged with an inner core made of Kevlar that withstands rough pulls and are the highest standard on the market.

The cable, capsule and boom design are built to ensure immunity against noisy wireless devices. This headset offers a comprehensive mix of adapters to suit the many wireless transmitters available. When used with an adapter, the connector is a MicroDot, also offers hardwired terminations to suit the most popular systems from manufacturers such as Shure and Sennheiser.

Adapter system for flexibility
The adapters for wireless systems offer flexible, simple and affordable possibilities. You can simply switch your adapter instead of replacing your entire microphone.

DPA's miniature microphones work with all leading wireless mic solutions, such as Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Wisycom, Zaxcom and many more. DPA Microphones’ ingenious adapter system is one of a kind in the industry. It protects your investment in fantastic sound for years to come. Should you prefer to have your mic hardwired to a specific connector type, DPA offers pre-terminated types for the most popular wireless systems.
