A lightweight Les Paul with noiseless Fishman pickups and a fast, comfortable neck.
The Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy is part of the "Inspired by Gibson" collection that closely adheres to the classic Kalamazoo style. But don't let the old-school vibe deceive you—there are enough modern twists to make this an extremely versatile player.
Front and center is a pair of custom Fishman Fluence pickups that deliver three distinct tones—PAF-style warm, active humbucker hot and a shimmering, slightly overwound single-coil sound. All are accessed via the push/pull volume and tone pots. Fluence pickups are hum- and noise-free, making the Les Paul Prophecy a perfect recording guitar.
The mahogany body is topped with AAA flame maple veneer and finished in aged vintage gloss. With Ultra-Modern weight relief, it's also a lighter Les Paul than those of the past. A solid core runs though the center, so it's less prone to feedback compared to a fully chambered body. The neck also has innovative refinements, including a SlimTaper asymmetrical profile for fast, comfortable play. Block and triangle pearloid/abalone inlays line the 24-fret ebony fingerboard.
Other features include Grover locking Rotomatic tuners, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece and a Graph Tech NuBone nut for enhanced tuning stability.
