A vintage-lover’s guitar with two-piece select alder body and handwound Dual Mag II pickups.
Enticing to the most discerning player, the Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Stratocaster Journeyman Relic electric guitar enlists a combination of features that are sought after by vintage lovers and modern players alike. A two-piece select alder body with contoured neck heel and deep ’57 contours wears a perfectly worn Journeyman Relic lacquer finish. The quartersawn maple neck features a fat 1959 "D" profile, compound-radius (9.5"–12") round-lam maple fingerboard and 21 narrow tall (6105) frets.
A trio of handwound Dual Mag II pickups with a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup features well-balanced tone, shimmering clear highs and balanced rich lows, through "1/2 blender" wiring with tone-saver treble bleed, which lets the bridge pickup be blended in positions 1 and 2. Other features include a five-way switch, three-ply parchment pickguard, Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree.
The Postmodern Stratocaster Journeyman Relic includes a deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
