A vintage classic, recreated for the modern guitarist.
1960 was the last year for the original Les Paul Standard, nearly identical to the 1959 model aside from a few details. Most notably, it featured a fast-playing slim neck profile and also had "reflector" Volume and Tone knobs as well as wider "double-ring" tuner tips. The Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a clone of these originals, recreated in meticulous detail from the hie-glue construction down to the chemically re-engineered plastic parts. Equipped with a set of Custombucker Alninco 3 pickups, this vintage replica not only looks the part but delivers on tone as well. The Les Paul Reissue has also been heavily aged by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab to simulate decades of play wear for added vintage authenticity. With all of the unique character, vibe and feel of an original 1960 Les Paul Standard, this Gibson Custom Shop reissue is the next best thing to owning an electric guitar from the Golden Era of rock 'n' roll.
