A versatile, workhorse with a Leo Fender-designed interpretation of the split-coil, single-coil duo.

The G&L Tribute Series SB-2 electric bass guitar takes Leo Fender’s 1982 G&L SB-2 bass and updates it with a less-is-more aesthetic and meatier sound. The Tribute SB-2 starts with a familiar shape, its sculpting subtly modified to produce a more sleek and balanced design. The slim, medium C-shaped neck falls immediately to hand, checking in with a modern 12″ radius and 22 medium-jumbo nickel frets ready to deliver silky playability.

Its Magnetic Field Design interpretation of the classic split-coil and single coil duo was created by Leo Fender to give you more gusto without losing detail and finesse. A simple dual-volume control setup allows you to strike any balance between the two, even backing off both volumes to dial in a more vintage flavor. What’s more, the SB-2 features an innovative Leo Fender-designed Saddle-Lock bridge to transfer string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument.
