Since the left-handed SM-Weissenborn+ guitar features a unique design, particular care must be taken (correct tunings and string gauges) to ensure you don't have bridge, bracing or neck problems. The strings supplied by Gold Tone are gauged .014, .018, .026w, .034w, .044w, .056w and allow for G (DGDGBD), D (DADF#AD) and similar tunings. E tuning (EBEG#BE) and Dobro G tuning (GBDGBD) or similar tunings are not recommended as the higher tension will most certainly cause damage and void the warranty. Total string tension exerted should be no more than 165 lb. when tuned to standard (A440) pitch.
