The AEG220 Grand Concert from Ibanez offers a powerful, balanced acoustic sound, both unplugged and through an amp or PA system. Built with a Comfort Grip maple neck with rounded fretboard edges, an ovangkol fingerboard for added playing comfort and an okoume body, the AEG220 generates a woody, warm tone that is especially great for fingerpicking. An Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle pickup accurately translates that full sound to whatever amplification system it’s plugged into. For additional sonic control, a small and simple preamp offers two controls: volume and shape. A natural acoustic sound is found in the center position on the shape knob and allows players to easily adjust from low, fat and powerful tones to a bright and crisp sound while using only one control. An easy-to-read onboard tuner with LCD (liquid crystal display) is also located on the preamp.
