Stunning aesthetics and rich tone with a trio of DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups.
The Steve Vai Signature PIA3761C’s sound is driven by a trio of DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups—ceramic humbuckers at the neck and bridge, and an alnico single-coil at the middle. The UtoPIA pickups are voiced for smoother highs, scooped mids and a more pronounced low end, and incorporate beautiful aesthetics and design elements that complement the cosmetic features of the guitar. The Edge bridge offers extra tuning stability and playing comfort, and the high-pass filter on the volume pot maintains highs at low volumes. Additional appointments include the PIA-exclusive Petal Grip for a balanced, contemporary design aesthetic; a magnetic tremolo cavity plate for quick removal and reinstallation when changing strings or adjusting the tremolo; a scalloped fingerboard on the 21-24 frets for easier high-note bending and tapping; and an Ultralite tremolo arm for more sensitive control. Comes with an Ibanez hardshell case.
