The tone-monster workhorse is back for an encore.
The Marshall JCM900 4100 100W head had long been a favorite of rock and metal guitarists starting in the 1990s, because of it' versatile, full-bodied, undeniably Marshall tube overdrive, sparkling clean tones, stage-capable power and thick two-channel reverb. And now it' back.
The head features two footswitchable channels (low-gain A; high-gain B) with shared four-band EQ ” Presence, Bass, Middle and Treble ” as well as independent Volume, Reverb and Gain controls. Turn it around, and you™ll see a series FX loop with level controls, optional footswitch input and the bread and butter of the classic Marshall tone, the tube complement: three ECC83 tubes and four 5881 tubes.
