Acoustic dreadnought with Adirondack spruce top, and mahogany back and sides to mark Martin's 190th anniversary.

The Martin D-19 190th Anniversary limited-edition dreadnought acoustic guitar marks the guitar maker’s 190th year since it was first founded in New York City in 1833. First introduced in 1976, the Martin D-19 was designed as an up-marketing D-18. Martin stained the top to utilize the Sitka spruce that was cosmetically challenged—an early nod to sustainability.

The Martin D-19 anniversary model embraces sustainability by utilizing Adirondack spruce tops that Martin has had in inventory, just waiting for the right project. Martin applied a digital microburst to the top to achieve a figured mahogany look. Other features include nickel open-gear tuning machines, a modern belly drop-in-saddle bridge and a Modified Low Oval-shaped hardwood neck with a high performance taper and dovetail neck joint.

While the top is constructed from Adirondack spruce, the back and sides are made from genuine mahogany with a gloss finish. The Martin D-19 190th anniversary edition features a Guatemalan rosewood bridge and fingerboard with 20 frets and abalone inlays. This Martin D-19th Anniversary limited-edition acoustic guitar is one that you’re sure to enjoy playing for a long time to come.
