When Iggy Pop (The Godfather of Punk) met Mick Rock (Is That His Real Name) in the summer of 1972, the event spawned a series of pictures of unique impact and timeless value. Iggy & The Stooges had come to London to record their seminal punk masterpiece Raw Power with David Bowie as executive producer. Mick Rock was on hand to shoot the cover. The uncompromising images that emerged from that one unforgettable session at London's Scala Theatre have now passed into rock history and are presented here in all their gritty glory - the first stirrings of punk, rock history being made right in front of the lens. Over 30 years later comes this superb collection of more than 200 of those photographs, in color and black & white, with a foreword by Iggy himself, and an interview with the subject conducted by the photographer in 1972.
