Relive the '80s analog era with an authentic legend reborn.
The legendary Roland Juno-60 synthesizer defined the sound of the '80s and is prized for its fat analog tone. With the Juno-60 software synthesizer, you can now experience the iconic sounds of this keyboard classic as a plug-in. Powered by Roland's Analog Circuit Behavior technology, it provides an authentic re-creation of the original instrument with enhancements for modern music production.
Iconic '80s Sound
The Juno-60's single voltage-controlled oscillator, sub-oscillator and resonant filter are responsible for its characteristic warm, punchy sound. Whether you're aiming to capture the era's pop, new wave or soundtrack vibe, the Juno-60 plug-in delivers. Its simple yet versatile architecture makes it easy to dial in massive bass, shimmering pads, brassy stabs and more. The Juno-60's lush onboard chorus also defined its era and is faithfully modeled here with multiple modes.
Enhanced Features
While staying true to the original's sound and soul, the Juno-60 software synthesizer enhances some features for modern music-making. Polyphony has been increased to eight voices and it adds a second envelope for more complex tones. The synth also provides extra oscillator range, a larger patch memory and an integrated patch browser. Effects like the Boss CE-1 chorus, reverb, delay and overdrive are included for more sound-shaping options.
Customize Your Vintage Vibe
The Juno-60 software synthesizer lets you adjust the "age" of its virtual circuits using the Condition knob. At minimum, it provides a pristine factory-fresh Juno-60 tone. At maximum, it recreates the drift and instability of a well-worn synth that's been on tour for years. The Circuit Mod function also enables you to manipulate analog-like parameters for unique sonic tweaks not possible on the original hardware.
Hardware Control
For an authentic hands-on experience, the Juno-60 software synthesizer supports Roland's PLUG-OUT format for integration with the SYSTEM-8 synth. It automatically maps each parameter to the SYSTEM-8's knobs and sliders, giving you a hardware Juno-60 to perform with on stage. The Juno-60 plug-in is also pre-mapped for controlling and editing from the Roland Boutique JU-06 or JU-06A module.
