A Taylor that breaks the mold with figured Hawaiian koa top, back and sides and ES2 electronics.
The Taylor GT K21e acoustic-electric is the latest addition to Taylor’s Koa series of guitars. This premium-edition GT model incorporates the attractive appointment characteristics found on Taylor's Koa Series guitars. Taylor's GT body shape is a completely new instrument that offers all the tone of a full-sized, solid-wood instrument in a comfortable mid-sized shape. With this unique instrument, Bob Taylor and Andy Powers have created a completely new category of the acoustic guitar. The shape is in between a Taylor GS Mini and a Grand Concert, but with a more modern set of proportions. The guitar is easy to hold, easy to get around and comfortable to play.
At the heart of the sound is the revolutionary C-Class bracing pattern. The C-Class bracing pattern works in unison with the solid koa top, back and sides to create a tone that has the perfect midrange, rounded attack and sweetness that has made Taylor's Koa Series a favorite among players of all levels. A shorter 24-1/8" scale length gives players a lower string tension with a silky feeling that allows you to glide up and down the neck with ease.
The Taylor GT K21e is appointed with maple binding, black/maple/koa top purfling, maple rosette with koa/black purfling, maple Spring Vine fingerboard and peghead inlay, 6-mil gloss finish with Shaded Edgeburst and Taylor's ES-2 electronics system.
The GT K21e ships in Taylor's sturdy, lightweight AeroCase.
