11 powerful, ethereal delays in a compact stompbox.
Just like the Terraform that came before it, the Metaverse is an advanced, feature-packed pedal that allows you to navigate its settings without endless menus on a tiny display. Use the intuitive user interface or a separate MIDI controller to effortlessly traverse Wampler’s Metaverse of rich, expansive delay tones.
Free plug-in suite for registered owners
For the first time ever, you get a complete software version of the pedal via a set of 11 AU and VST3 plug-ins compatible with most popular DAWs. It’s free to all customers that register their Metaverse Warranty online (plug-in suite is $49.99 if purchased separately).
Eleven Onboard Delay Programs
The primary rotary controller selects between the eleven onboard delays, the five common parameter controls adjust the setting for each of the different algorithms. Hold down the left footswitch to access alternate parameters for certain delays and save them as presets. Use a MIDI controller to access every parameter. Choose the delay time length using the tap tempo, send a MIDI global clock signal, or simply use the “Delay” knob—the Wampler Metaverse is one of the most user-configurable pedals Wampler has ever made.
1. ANLG - ANALOG STYLE DELAY
Inspired by Brian’s love of the BOSS DM-2 analog delay, the engineers paid respect to its warm and responsive tone, giving it that Wampler touch. This is the type of analog delay that would have been used prolifically in the mid 1980s.
2. WET - MODULATED ANALOG DELAY
One of the things that Brian loves about the Way Huge Aqua-Puss analog delay is the chewiness and subtle tape-sounding modulation. These characteristics were chosen for this setting as a homage to the famed delay.
3. BBD - BUCKET BRIGADE DELAY
Brian always found himself pulling out an old Electro-Harmonix Memory Man pedal when looking for something inspirational to perform with. This setting draws inspiration from one of the greatest “Bucket Brigade” delay pedals of all time—a circuit from the 1970s that was the first true alternative to tape delay.
4. JET - ANALOG FLANGER DELAY
This is where the team had a little fun. This Program combines the smooth ANLG Program with the unmistakeable whooshing sound of a beautiful additive flanger modulation effect.
5. DOC - WAMPLER THE DOCTOR
The next regeneration of the Doctor is surely a welcome one and has been modeled in this Program in full. Experience the warm modulated delay tone and trail degradation from one of Brian Wampler’s more experimental delay pedals.
6. FTE - WAMPLER FAUX TAPE ECHO
This is one of Wampler’s most popular delay pedals and for good reason. A lot of tape emulation style delays simply add chorus to an existing digital delay circuit. Brian was not satisfied with this approach and re-engineered it to his taste. The result was a pedal that reacted and sounds just like a real tape delay unit with beautiful musical repeats.
7. ETH - WAMPLER ETHEREAL DELAY
The Ethereal is Wampler’s famous "all-in-one" digital delay and reverb pedal and this program recreates the overlaying twin delays present on this pedal. This is not strictly a "dual delay" algorithm, but there is a secondary delay layer that adds a new pulsing dimension to the sound.
8. MOD - DIGITAL FLANGER DELAY
Like the JET delay setting, this mixes a gorgeous flange modulation with a crisp and clean DIGI algorithm to add an extra mix of awesome delay and modulation.
9. SPC - SPACE ECHO DELAY
This tape echo-style algorithm is a tribute to both the classic Maestro Echoplex-style delay and the BOSS Space Echo—with Brian’s unique self-oscillating multi-dimensional take.
10. TAPE - MULTI HEAD TAPE DELAY
Inspired by the tones on classic records utilizing the vintage Binson Echorec tape delay, this program emulates one of the most important delay sounds in rock music. With Wampler’s own filtering and saturation style of modulation this gets close to the great sound produced by the classic mechanical unit.
11. DIGI - DIGITAL DELAY
Based on Brian’s tonal interpretation of what was considered an industry standard digital delay, the TC Electronic's 2290 Dynamic Digital Delay, this program is super clean for precise, clean and modern delay tones.
Wampler-quality construction
Brian Wampler’s attention to detail and commitment to designing the best and most player-friendly products out there are second to none. Those qualities are on full display within the Metaverse. From its convenient form factor to its flexible controls and full MIDI implementation via TRS jacks, the Metaverse is all Wampler.
