The guiro (pronounced weer-oh) is a Puerto Rican percussion instrument usually consisting of an open-ended, hollow gourd with parallel notches cut in one side and is played by rubbing a wooden stick ("pua") along the notches. The NINO581 Mini Guiro is made from high-quality plastic and has 2 grip holes that allow it to be held with the fingers. Comes with a wooden scraper.
