Get fatter mids and a smoother top end with Railhammer Billy Corgan Z-One pickups.
The Reverend Billy Corgan Z-One electric guitar gives you the tone and feel for massive rock solos inspired by The Smashing Pumpkins. Designed in collaboration with Billy Corgan, the Z-One features Railhammer pickups for thick, smooth tone and a chambered alder body for resonance. The slim neck and ebony fingerboard play fast for shredding, while the string-through-body bridge maximizes sustain. Variable pickup voicing and a treble bleed circuit shape your sound. If you want to crush heavy rock leads, the futuristic Billy Corgan Z-One belongs in your hands.
Chambered Alder Body Resonates
The Z-One's chambered alder body reduces weight while boosting resonance. Strategic chambers under the pickguard enhance acoustic properties, creating a hollowbody-like resonance. Alder provides a rich, full tone that complements the Railhammer pickups. Together, the wood and pickups generate a thick yet ringing tone that sustains for searing leads.
Fast Neck and Ebony Fingerboard
Shred with ease thanks to the Z-One's slim neck profile and ebony fingerboard. Ebony offers a smooth, fast playing surface, while the slim neck feels comfortable for intricate solos. A 9.5" radius and 22 jumbo frets also aid playability. The neck and fingerboard work together for fluid transitions across the fingerboard at high speeds.
Railhammer Pickups Provide Beefy Tone
New Railhammer Billy Corgan Z-One pickups pump out high-output tone with silky highs, based on the original Billy Corgan signature pickups. Billy Corgan aimed for pickups suited to The Smashing Pumpkins' heavier songs and these deliver—fat midrange, thick rock tone and biting distortion. The custom etched covers add attitude. For reference tones, Corgan mentioned "Geek U.S.A.," "Quiet," "Jellybelly," "Zero," and "Bodies." These pickups give you that massive, distorted tone.
Shape Your Sound with Onboard Controls
Dial in your tone with the Z-One's volume and tone knobs, pickup selection switch and passive bass contour. The bass contour tightens or loosens low end, re-voicing the pickups. The three-way switch chooses neck, bridge or both pickups. A treble bleed circuit prevents treble loss when you roll back the volume, keeping tone clear and defined. With this combination of controls, you can achieve a wide range of tones—from vintage rock to modern metal.
Retro-Futuristic Style
The Z-One has an eye-catching retro-futuristic esthetic that complements its tonal muscularity. It features an aluminum pickguard, chrome hardware and a "Z" logo on the headstock. The metallic pickguard is a nod to futurism, while the minimal controls and streamlined body profile evoke a retro simplicity. For any guitarist seeking a flexible and hard-hitting rock guitar with standout style, the Reverend Billy Corgan Z-One delivers.
