Designed by one of the great French Horn players.
The Meyers Series French Horn Mouthpiece was designed in cooperation with Philip Meyers, Principal Horn with the New York Philharmonic. These mouthpieces offer an even sound throughout the range of the instrument while holding the sound together at extremely loud dynamics and provides a ring to the sound at soft dynamics. The cup design has no traditional bowl, but curves in instead of down from the rim, allowing the player to use less air to produce the same amount of sound compared to other mouthpieces.
The Meyers model French horn mouthpiece is available in bore sizes #1 - #8 (5.8mm through 5.1mm). The cup diameter measures 16.7mm and the rim is medium thin. The cup is deep and conically shaped.
